Coalition army: So this is just kinda weird. You can’t just take any Nurgle models any more in your army for a Maggotkin force, instead you can make your Maggotkin army a Coalition army by making 2 in 4 units Slaves to Darkness, 1 in 4 Clans Pesitlens, or 1 in 4 Beasts of Chaos (that are not already marked by another god in any instance).

Since they’re a starter kit army, the basic models are easy to build and cheap to acquire. Poisoned weapons are exceptionally powerful with a bit of luck. Your boltboyz can lay down a withering hail of fire. Weaknesses. They aren’t as durable as standard Orruks, lacking the armor of Ironjawz and the ward of Bonesplitterz.

Custodes, 500 bucks will get you 2000 or more points of models. Hands down one of the cheapest and most beginner freindly armies. Very little you need to manage, buy, paint, or pay someone to paint and kit out with. Like at the most, 40 to 50 minis is the max you might ever get.
Warcry is great as a skirmish game, super thematic, and the models are amazing. You can also use it as a stepping stone to assembling a larger Age of Sigmar army, as all armies have rules for Warcry. It does have more of an upfront cost compared to Underworlds though, as the starter set is not cheap.
