Wanted to update the maps in my car’s navigation system. To Audi’s credit they provide twice-yearly upgrades via a variety of methods, some free. I currently have 2014 maps and would like to get up to date ones. audi.com says there are no updates available? My current version is: MSTD_EU_AU_P5101. Audi switched to a new provider, but only newer MMI headunits that have a Qualcomm CPU are compatible. They came out with the updated headunit around 2019 and existing cars with the new headunit received a software update to enable the new provider if they originally shipped with Google Earth. Audi don't produce the maps they are purchased form a third party company, so they are likely to be out of date by 6/12 months as they have to get all the European countries, then produce an update disk which will then need to be tested before it's rolled out, so you will never get a true up to date maps when you do bulk updates like Audi do. jYolZk.
